Mark Barnes is Vice President of Reliability Services at Des Case Corporation – a leading provider of fluid handling, filtration and contamination control products and services.  Mark and the Des-Case Lubrication Transformation Services Team help companies change their lubrication practices by providing process engineering, training and project management support. 

 Prior to joining Des-Case, Mark served as Chief Technology Officer for Noria Corporation and has 17 years of practical experience in lubrication and oil analysis.  Mark has published over 100 articles and papers in the field of maintenance and reliability and is a regular contributor to Uptime magazine.  He has helped companies as diverse as Alcoa, Goodyear, Cargill, H. J. Heinz, Pfizer, Rio Tinto, DuPont, Southern Companies, ArcelorMittal and International Paper change the way they think about and perform lubrication.

 Mark holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Southampton in the UK and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional.
