Professor Andrew Starr leads the Integrated Maintenance Centre at Cranfield and is the Course Director for a Professional MSc course on Through-life System Sustainment, supported by Rolls-Royce and Bombardier Transportation, helping to educate tomorrow’s leaders for industry. He has over 25 years of experience in training and supervising research engineers in maintenance related areas. He is also one of the Technical Directors of the Cranfield IVHM centre. Andrew is passionate about developing education and training programmes for the future leaders in industry in through-life engineering services. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, a member of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing, and a member of the Institute of Asset Management. He has published over 100 technical papers from a wide range of collaborative projects with industry, helping to solve real problems and to devise innovative products and services.
