 John Atkinson is Technical Director of C-Cubed Limited, a manufacturer of portable (handheld) computer based maintenance tools such as vibration and lubrication analysers, machine balancing and alignment tools and asset inspection systems.  C-Cubed uses the latest in pocket computer technology to make these tools both very easy to use and extremely affordable. Recent and revolutionary breakthroughs in computer based tools has made condition based and predictive maintenance so affordable and simple to implement that there is simply no excuse to stick with routine maintenance strategies any longer. The only thing stopping it seems to be reluctance on the part of operators to break out of their comfort zone.
